Once the most
abundant duck in North America the Northern Pintails population has
declined since the 1950’s due to persistent drought and the loss of
Grasslands. Nicknamed “The Greyhound of the Air”, because of their
elongated central tail feathers, which constitute for one quarter of
the drakes body length, describes the unique features of this
waterfowl. But don’t go buying any round trip bus passes for this dandy
as it only weighs on average of 2lbs, and is wide spread throughout
North America.
This dabbler’s graceful
wingspread can be seen in our beautifully hand-crafted depiction of the
flying pintails take off. Let Loon Lake Decoy Company adds a touch of
the outdoors to your home, Lake Cabin, or office with its renowned
“Lifting Off” Flying Pintail Wall Mount, which is sure to please any
