A motorized decoy is a bit different then a motion decoy in the fact that it operates off a motor where as the motion decoy operates either by hand or by mother natures wind or waves, but most still consider them both to be motion decoys.
Most of the motion decoys used today operate from a remote control where others in the past have operated with just a pull string that you physically use to make the decoy move.
The most popular motorized decoy used today is the motorized duck decoy and from what I have seen in my experience it works very well. Motion goose decoys do work great but they just don't seem to be as popular with hunters yet.
